Nicolas Gaume is the CEO of Mimesis Republic. Founded in 2007, Mimesis Republic develops and operates Mamba Nation (www.mambanation.com), the next generation social virtual world for teenagers and young adults. Currently in closed beta, Mamba Nation has over 150 000 users and is due to open to the public in 2011.
Mimesis Republic also produced and developed the music streaming solution, Wormee, for Orange and the mmo 3D casual game, My Horse Club, for Mindscape.
Prior to Mimesis, Nicolas was the founder and CEO of Kalisto (1990-2002) an independent game development studio, based in Bordeaux, Paris, Austin, Los Angeles and Tokyo. During 12 years, Kalisto produced over 50 titles for PC, consoles and mobiles, sold to publishers worldwide. The company employed a staff of up to 350 people.
Between 1994 and 1999, Nicolas also founded and managed, NGM Productions, a children’s book-publishing company, based in Shanghai, aiming to bring high quality edutainment publications to China.
From 2002 to 2005, Nicolas worked for Ubisoft at various senior management responsibilities within the development production structure of the company. Nicolas was then, for three years, Senior VP & GM of the mobile games & applications division of Cellfish Media, a Lagardere company.
Nicolas Gaume is also currently serving as President of SNJV (Syndicat National du Jeu Video), the French video game trade association.
